"I painted this iris around the time when I had quit painting t-shirts and concentrated on paintings only, I felt like I was finally beginning to get better at painting. This one was mostly airbrushed, with some detail brushwork.
I remember setting up some paintings at the park in Sunland-Tujunga, a woman bought the original, I imagine it's still somewhere down there in the L.A. area.
I liked this painting, it was different to me, maybe another turning point in my life. Not long after this, I quit painting for a living and began my career as a marble mason."
